Brand New dropped a full-length, Science Fiction, in August 2017, marking their last official release. Prior to the public allegations, the band began referencing the end of the band back in 2015.

Just because the Squier brand is owned by Fender, it does not mean a Squier is a Fender guitar. While a Squier strat may look the same as a Fender strat, they’re not the same in many ways. But there are some Squiers that cost more than a Fender, and some Fenders use lower quality parts than some Squiers.

Do Squier pickguards fit?

It depends. Fender varied the exact size and screw-hole placements on its pickguards over the years and Squier has copied several of those models too, leading to some minor variations. I didn’t when I bought a guard for my Squier Affinity Strat and had to redrill the holes to make it fit.

Are all Strat pickguards the same size?

Member. There are 3 kinds of strat pickguards: the 8 hole (used in the ’57 reissue) , the vintage 11 hole (used in your 60’s player) , and the modern 11 hole (used in the Am Std) , so they won’t fit. You have to get a vintage 11 hole one.

Are Squier and fender parts interchangeable?

Most Fender parts are interchangeable with Squire parts. Pickups and pots are no problem. Some Squier models are slightly thinner and won’t accomodate a full size tremolo block but there are some aftermarket ones that will fit.

Are Squire jazzmasters good?

It is perfect for any beginner, even gig-worthy thanks to its great overall output. I noticed that the sound was very clear and sharp, I would definitely keep this one handy for mellow jam sessions. If you’re planning to get into jazz music, then i would say that this is one of the best electric guitars for jazz.
