Is the black fleece authorized for wear with my Army Combat Uniform? The black fleece is currently authorized for wear as an outer garment unless restricted by the Commander IAW DA Pam 670-1, paragraph 4-7c.

Why does the military blouse their pants?

It tucks in the boot to prevent crawlies and your pants from riding up the leg when you are moving around while prone. The blousing is not to look cool it demonstrates attention to detail and knowledge/adherence to a dress code. It has been a tradition that has its roots all the way back to WW 1 trench warfare.

Do special forces wear black?

However black is terrible camouflage, even at night. As a result, US SOF tend not to use it. They tend to either wear uniforms that help them blend in with their foreign partners and/or something that actually works to camouflage them. Black does not serve that purpose.
