Both bearded dragons and cats are usually friendly. For one, the bearded dragon is known to be one of the friendliest reptiles. They do not bite, and they’re known to be even-tempered and easy going. Most domestic cats are also friendly, with a love of playtime, pats, and of course, a few headbutts to show their love!

Are cats scared of bearded dragons?

Bearded dragons can become afraid if the cat was to attack, or it is too rough when they play together. However, they are confident animals and are rarely intimidated by an animal the size of a cat. How often should I hold my bearded dragon?

You can hold a bearded dragon for as long as it will tolerate being held. Start with 15 minutes once a day and as it gets used to being handled, you can hold it longer. Some dragons enjoy being held several times a day for several hours. When the beardie becomes restless, it is time to put him back.

Do bearded dragons sleep with the heat lamp on?

Most UVB bulbs do not produce much heat, so a heat lamp should also be provided for basking. White lights should not be used at night as bearded dragons need darkness for proper sleep. At night, keep around 70-75°F (21-24°C). Levels can be monitored by thermometers placed at both the cool and hot ends of the enclosure.
