What is OS C drive?

The C: drive, also known as your computer’s hard drive, has the important job of storing your computer’s operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Linux, etc.), as well as applications you use (e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe, Mozilla Firefox) and files you download from the internet.

Why is my OS drive full?

Generally speaking, it is because the disk space of your hard drive is not enough to store a large amount of data. Additionally, if you are only bothered by the C drive full issue, it is likely that there are too many applications or files saved to it.

Do you need both SSD and HDD?

Although many CPU types are limited in the number of PCIe lanes they can use, so motherboards will often disable some SATA ports or PCIe slots if you use too many M.

Is it better to have two SSDs or one?

RAID 1 is used for high reliability as if one SSD fails, the data on the second one is mirrored, so nothing gets lost and you can keep using it. 2 SSDs will consume more power than 1 SSD. The speed is more or less the same between those 2 sizes.

Are higher capacity SSD faster?

Large SSDs also have an advantage over smaller SSDs in speed. Thanks to NAND architecture, drives can write to several chips at once and speed up the process.

Should I install games on separate drive from OS?

Any SSD would be faster than a traditional hard drive. With that said, you should still consider using it as a game drive instead of using your main OS drive. By doing so, you can prolong the life of your main drive as you’re doing less reads/writes to it when playing your games.
