How do you keep Perler beads from warping?
There are a couple of ways to prevent perler warps. The first is to use a separate piece of ironing paper for each side of your sprite. When you pull paper from a sprite while it is still warm, the pressure from the paper being removed causes the still warm beads to pull in that direction, creating a warp.

No matter where you are buying it from make sure it is IRON ON if you are using a home iron. Some vinyl does not work with a home iron. IF USING A HOME IRON YOU NEED PARCHMENT PAPER! Wax paper will not work!!

A normal iron works fine when you’re using Cricut Iron On vinyl. But it’s definitely a very useful tool and worth investing in if you use a lot of HTV. Compared to a normal iron, the Easy Press heats to the exact right temperature and will heat your design evenly all the way through.

Time- Pressing or ironing for too short a time can cause HTV not to stick to your shirt. HTV works by using a heat activated adhesive so too little time and it won’t heat enough to stick. Too long and it can actually burn the adhesive off. Temperature- Not all vinyl applies at the same temperature.
What side do you put down for iron-on vinyl?
Place HTV on Cutting Mat Whatever mat and machine you are using, put your HTV glossy side down onto your mat so you will be cutting on the matte side (see image below). Remember, we are cutting on back side of the vinyl where the heat-sensitive adhesive is. This side will be more matte.
