Yeah, it’s terribly linear, but it’s absolutely awesome. So it all evens out in the end. Battlefield 3 campaign was horrible as a story line but provided enough awesome moments to keep the interest. I liked the story since it was a bit more fleshed out and less twitchy compared to Bad Company 2.

To me, BF5 looks like a re-skin of BF1. In my opinion, the only difference is that BF1 was a bit more mainstream and true to history while BF5 is more out-there in terms of what it’s trying to portray through its single-player mode.

BF1 has better balanced infantry combat, vehicular combat in the other hand is no match for the variety and coolness of BF4 and bf 4 infantry combat is also a lot of fun. BF1 is the more ‘interesting’ experience but I’d say BF4 is a far more refined game, wish they had class loadouts in BF4.

@MotorheadIRL Hi, the campaign is a standard offline campaign, playable without an internet connection. The only possible wrinkle would be on PC, where someone would need to be online for authentication when initially installing, and would need to set Origin to Offline mode, but that shouldn’t be a factor on console.

Battlefield 1’s multiplayer is in no way intended for offline: First of all, there is no split-screen. You need split-screen to play to play FPS games offline. EA probably won’t make split screen because consoles are not powerful enough to handle two ideratons of battlefield 1 at the same time.
