While the dog-friendly area at Grant Park allows for animals to be off-leash, dogs must be leashed prior to and upon leaving the gated area. Each visitor is responsible for maintaining a closed gate upon entering and exiting the area.

How many dogs can you have in Madison WI?

Municipalities throughout Dane County vary on the limit of domesticated pets residents can keep. In addition to Madison, Fitchburg and Mount Horeb have no limit. Some, like the village of Marshall, have a two-dog limit with no limit on cats.

Is Door County Dog friendly?

Dogs are welcome in Door County, but don’t expect to be able to take them everywhere. Dogs are not allowed at many beaches due to safety and health concerns. However, your pup can take a dip at many other specific dog-friendly beaches, boat launches, and marinas.

You’ll also need to respect the rights of other park visitors and clean up after your dog whenever the need arises.

Is Peninsula State Park dog friendly?

Leashed dogs are allowed in most areas of the parks. I recently visited Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek with a couple of my dogs. This park allows dogs most everywhere except Nicolet Beach and any sand beach areas. We hiked some trails, played in the water on the rocky shoreline and took a little picnic break.
