It’s most likely she died when she came to the turret opera. Its unclear when Chell died, but she definitely died at the end of Portal 2.
Why did GLaDOS kill Chell?
Rattman knew that because of Chell’s tenacity, she was the only one who could take down GLaDOS. The only problem was, GLaDOS knew that Chell posed a threat to her. In short, GLaDOS tries to kill Chell because she knows that Chell can take her down.
Is GLaDOS aware of the combine?
Why doesn’t GLaDOS say or do anything about the Combine? They might just be gone–in fact, civilization on Earth might gone. Nobody knows. GLaDOS can likely examine the area outside of Aperture (since she says she saw a deer during P2) but chances are she can’t know about anything beyond that.

Is GLaDOS possible?
No. GLaDOS as presented is a strong AI – an AI that behaves in exactly the same way as a human. As far as we know, this is not possible. Is Portal a horror game?
There’s nothing scary about Portal, though at times it can be intense (thus the thriller aspect) but leans more on it’s comedy. Since Valve is good at what they do they still tend to humanize things and make characters fully fleshed out so even in the comedy sometimes it can turn on you.
Are there jump scares in Portal?
Portal wasn’t “scary” per se, but the stuff that is considered “scary” isn’t really scary at all (i.e. a zombie jumping out of a corner or a character suddenly dieing in a blood spray). I found portal more creepy from the dark lighting, beans everywhere, and abandoned rooms.
Why portal is the best game ever?
Besides the amazing physics engine, suitably sterile aesthetics and great sound effects, Portal captured players with its originality. Most FPSes involve blasting through hordes of assailants with bullets/lasers/any other imaginable ammunition which rips enemies to shreds. In Portal, there aren’t really any enemies.
Is Portal or Portal 2 better?
Personally, I think Portal 2 is the better game. It has a longer campaign, better story, better puzzles and an in-game level editor on PC. And I’ve currently played 990 hours of it, so it has a special, nostalgic place in my heart. But Portal 1 has the better atmosphere and pacing.
Do you need to play Portal 1 to play Portal 2?
You can play Portal 2 without having played Portal first as every game mechanic is presented in Portal 2. However, you’ll spoil the story of the first one doing that as it is a direct sequel (and there are many references to the first one, in the story and in some puzzle).
