Kayako was a lonely young girl from Japan, neglected by her parents as a child and had very few friends growing up. When she met a man called Taeko Saeki, he seemed like the only person in the world who cared about her. The two quickly fell in love, married and had a son together, whom they named Toshio.

JU-ON: THE GRUDGE and THE GRUDGE are nearly the same movie, just presented in different languages, and each has some merit over the other. JU-ON is darker and features more curse victims, THE GRUDGE moves along at a better pace and is packed with actors I’m a fan of.

Early Life and Death After discovering her inner feelings towards Peter, her husband Takeo became obsessed with the idea that he was not his son, killing her in a rage. He subsequently killed Toshio as well as his cat Mar by drowning them in the bathtub before hanging himself in Toshio’s bedroom.
