To study medicine and receive an offer from top universities (Oxford, Cambridge), a score in the 38-42 range is needed. In the US and Canada, the rule is that 30 points will get you into uni, 35 points will get you into most universities and 40 points will make you competitive for the best universities.

Is 37 a good IB score?

37+ is really good. 40+ is amazing. 44+ is insane. And from my knowledge and experience, getting a 38+ would give you good chances of getting into the top and elite universities (keeping in mind that grades are only one part of the application).

Is A levels easier than IB?

The difference is that you take more subjects, and CAN take much much more challenging levels in the IB, whereas the A levels offer no such thing.
