EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is the best choice for recovering lost data

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is a software designed by EaseUS that allows you to recover your erased data such as Word or Excel files. This software is very useful for those who have inadvertently deleted important files, format their hard drive or a partition that is passed in RAW.

It is available in free version (with a limitation that allows recovering 2 GB of data) and a paid version. To get started, download the free version of EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, then start the installation.

The interface shown is simple unlike other tools of the same kind that offer a multitude of options and you lose from the beginning. Select the hard drive, memory card, USB key … whose erased data you want to recover, and then click “Scan” to start recovery. Your recovery process will be started soon.

The analysis automatically starts with a simple analysis and ends with a deeper analysis without any action on your part. In this example, we will try to recover the erased data on my 32 GB micro SD card: some data was simply erased by the trash and others were erased by formatting the micro SD card.

During the analysis of the files to be recovered, the approximate data recovery time appears at the top. If the scan takes too long and you can’t turn on your PC for several hours, you have the option to pause the process or even export the current scan state to restart it later or even repeat another analysis without canceling the old one.

In my case, for a memory card of 32 GB, it indicated 4 minutes, but in reality it took 8 minutes.

In fact, the simple scan only recovered the 2,000 files that were deleted by the recycle bin and nothing else, while the deep scan recovered 4,236 files even after formatting the micro SD card.

After, it will be necessary to see the state of recovered files. Indeed, even if the files have been recovered, it does not necessarily mean that the files will be readable. We can very well have files in good condition as illegible documents or photos where we see only half of the image with the other half grayed out. Otherwise, after the analysis we have the ability to sort files by type: photo, audio, document, video, email, .exe …

It remains only to select the files or folders to recover by checking the corresponding boxes, then click Recover. Finally, select where the files that were recovered will be saved, and then click OK.

Info: do not choose the same hard drive that you have recovered the data, choose, preferably, another hard drive or an external hard drive.

Be aware, however, that if you try to recover deleted files a hard drive that has a mechanical or electronic failure, there is a good chance that the analysis will not succeed. You can recover 500 MB of data with the free version. But, if you share the software on Facebook, Twitter or Google+, you can recover 2 GB of data.

From my experience, I can conclude that EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is still the best. This is faster than its competitors even though for certain files it’s not fast enough for me. But overall, this application is really practical and inexpensive. The paid version is lifetime license and you only need to pay once to get a lifetime service.
