Out of concern for consumer safety, we never recommend microwaving our Uncrustables® sandwiches, as it can turn the jelly extremely hot. The best way to thaw your Uncrustable® is by leaving it out at room temperature for about 30 – 60 minutes.
Why are uncrustables banned?
This is a controversial food additive that has been approved for use in the U.S. but has been banned in other countries due to potential carcinogenic effects.
Are PB and J healthy?
PB and J is the easiest snack to make. All that’s needed is peanut butter, jelly, and bread, that part is pretty self explanatory. Even with the added sugars and fats, PB is still a fairly healthy option, especially if the regular old JIF is replaced with organic PB. Jelly isn’t much of a healthy option.

How do you make a frozen uncrustable?

- Spread out your bread on the counter or paper towel.
- Spread peanut butter in center of each bread slice.
- Spread jelly over peanut butter on half of the bread slices.
- Use sandwich sealer & decruster to cut off crusts and crimp edges together.
- Place sandwiches in sandwich bags, seal, and freeze.
