When should I be concerned about discharge?
You should consult your health care provider, within one day, anytime you have symptoms or concerns relating to abnormal vaginal discharge. Especially if it is accompanied by a foul odor or has an abnormal color such as gray, green, or yellow.
What does STD discharge look like?
Abnormal vaginal discharge: The look and consistency of vaginal discharge changes continually through a woman's cycle. Thick, white discharge can be a sign of a yeast infection. When discharge is yellow or green, it might indicate gonorrhea or trichomoniasis.
What does Chlamydia look like?
Chlamydia symptoms can include pus-like yellow discharge; frequent or painful urination; spotting between periods or after sex; and/or rectal pain, bleeding, or discharge.
Can other people smell my discharge?
Don't worry too much about other people noticing the way your vulva smells. Generally other people won't be able to smell it at all unless they get very close to your vulva, like when you're having sex, and in that case most people like the way their partners' vulvas smell.
