Do not put diesel or regular leaded gasoline inside an FFV. The flex-fuel designation generally means you can put E85 gasoline or regular unleaded gas in your vehicle.

Is 87 the same as E85?

E85 fuel can give you a significant boost in power and torque without breaking the bank for racing fuels. It has a base octane rating of 105 and has the bonus of added cooling properties that add even more knock resistance than racing fuels with the same rating.

Yes and you may get better fuel economy. E85 may contain up to 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline, Alcohol has less energy than gasoline which may reduce fuel economy. If the price difference is significantly cheaper for E85, I would use it, if not then I would stay with the 93 octane if those are the only 2 choices.

Can you mix E85 with pump gas?

Simply put, if you mix 5 gallons of 91 octane pump gas with 5 gallons of E85, you get 10 gallons of a 96-octane fuel that’s very close to E50, or 50-percent ethanol and 50-percent gasoline. Blend those two together to create a 50-50 mix and you get 3.60 + 2.20 / 2 = $2.90 per gallon.
