FNV Edit is the port of FO3edit. It’s a tool that will allow you to modify esm/esp files. It will detect conflicts between to addons, and it will allow you to create a “merged” patch that combines all the changes you want into one file.
What is a merged patch?
This is where the merged patch comes in handy. Instead of editing every esp or esm you will make all changes needed into the very last mod that made any edits. This allows you to have one patch that will let you make all fixes to the game and will allow you to combine edits from multiple mods to the same thing.

In general, simple armor and weapon mods are safe to merge. Except for Immersive Armors, which uses a script to add its items to level lists. Don’t merge any mod with an MCM.
