Financial Need QuestBridge finalists generally come from households earning less than $65,000 a year for a family of four. We are looking for high school seniors who have shown outstanding academic ability despite financial challenges. We take a holistic approach to reviewing applications, and we do not have absolute criteria or cut-offs for GPA, standardized test scores, income, or other factors.

Absolutely put it on your apps in the awards and honors section. For certain schools, like for the QuestBridge Partner schools themselves, it can help you a great deal. But, in general, it is considered a very selective accomplishment to be named a QuestBridge Finalist.

In addition, some schools you rank may allow you to apply early in December if you do not match.

Is regular decision binding?

Regular decision is the normal process by which students apply by published deadlines, with promise of receiving an admissions decision no later that April 1 of their senior year. However, the student is under no obligation to accept the offer of admission and can wait until May 1 to select which college to attend.
