Cognac has been mentioned (which is just a type of Brandy), rum, bourbon or whiskey/scotch. All of those impart a distinctly different resultant flavor than brandy, but most of them are complimentary to any spice of fruit that brandy would be used for.

The most accurate substitution would simply be rum extract. It is concentrated rum with a huge kick of flavor, and much less alcohol. A little goes a long way.
