Re: Isotex 5000 Isotex is waterproof, windproof and breathable. A Isotex 5000 jacket should be able to withstand a column of water 5000mm high without leaking. Isotex products do need occasionally reproofing with the spray or washing machine cleaner from time to time but so do any waterproof products.

I’ve been using some Tog24 stuff for years. Like many of the “budget” brands, you sometimes have to be a bit careful with quality, and some of the materials aren’t exactly leading edge. However, find the good bits and they are robust, well made and comfy. IMO tog24 stuff is average quality/performance.
