Can a Dana 30 Handle 33 inch tires?

The 30 is fine up to 35″ tires without a locker before upgrades are normally needed. 33’s are as far as I would push the Dana 35. If you do more than easy-medium trails I would really look at upgrading.

Can a Dana 30 handle a V8?

The stock Dana 30 (same shaft size as a Dana 44) should hold up just fine up to a 35” tire. If you upgrade your Dana 35 to a super 35 (beefier 30-spline axles shafts), it would handle the V8 power just fine too.

Can a Dana 35 handle 33s?

A Dana 35 normally holds up ok to 33’s providing there’s no locker and you take it easy on it. Just don’t get into a situation where you get the rear-end bouncing trying to get up/over something. Knows a couple things… No problem with up to 33’s with a locker, replacement 4340 alloy axle shafts just become a good upgrade if you get to 35’s. A lunchbox locker like an Aussie lunchbox locker works extremely well in a Dana 30 and is a very common upgrade.
